چکیده
Abstract In flowering plants, true vivipary is defined as the precocious seed germination and growth of embryo to a considerable size before dispersal. True occurs mostly in mangroves very rare Asteraceae . this study, we present first observation Grindelia squarrosa , North American member from new locality Poland. We examined 50 fruiting capitula which were collected October 2020 Brzegi, southern occurred 90% capitula; however, number germinated seeds was low (3.42 on average) variable (CV = 106%). Seed found only fruits developed disc flowers. presumed that G induced by prolonged rainfall. The importance naturalization invasion well involvement viviparous seedlings autochory should be further explored.

Phenolic acids in the flowers and leaves of Grindelia robusta Nutt. and Grindelia squarrosa Dun. (Asteraceae).
2D-TLC and RP-HPLC methods were applied to qualitatively determinate free phenolic acids and those liberated by acid and alkaline hydrolysis in the flowers and leaves of G. robusta and G. squarrosa. The presence of eleven phenolic acids, namely: caffeic, chlorogenic, p-coumaric, p-hydroxybenzoic, ferulic, gallic, protocatechuic, vanillic salicylic, p-hydroxyphenylacetic and ellagic acids was de...

Grindelia chiloensis (Asteraceae) is a shrub native to Patagonia, Argentina, in the process of domestication as a source of resin to complement rosin production by pines. Vegetative propagation to multiply selected genotypes has produced breakthroughs in the cultivation of new crops like jojoba (Simmondsia chinesis). The only available way to propagate Grindelia is by transplanting seedlings or...
متن کاملGenetic and Ecotypic Differentiation in a Californian Plant Polyploid Complex (Grindelia, Asteraceae)
Studies of ecotypic differentiation in the California Floristic Province have contributed greatly to plant evolutionary biology since the pioneering work of Clausen, Keck, and Hiesey. The extent of gene flow and genetic differentiation across interfertile ecotypes that span major habitats in the California Floristic Province is understudied, however, and is important for understanding the prosp...
متن کاملThe Genetics of Vivipary in Maize.
REMATURE germinating seeds have been observed in various plants, including P lemons, oranges, melons, wheat and rye. However, in none of these is there any good indication that the premature germination is the result of changes in the germ plasm. Only in maize has the genetic control of this phenomenon been clearly demonstrated. Such mutants have been described by MANGELSDORF (1923,1926, and 19...
متن کاملFirst observation of fish condition from Sava river in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Condition factor of fish species is very important parameter for understanding fish biology and pathology. For that purpose, we sampled 120 fish individuals from the Sava River at four locations (Posavina region), where most of them belongs to the Cyprinidae family while the others belonging to the families: Percidae, Siluridae, Ameiuridae, Esocidae and Gobiidae. In total fish sample we found t...
